Through the Glass

I had the privilege to run sound at friends wedding this weekend at Trinity Episcopal Church. I try to keep my pictures interesting by having some background, this one was pretty interesting. The church was founded before the civil war, as a matter of fact, more than half of the men signed up for the 2nd Kansas Volunteer Infantry Regiment of the Union Army, including the pastor of the still young parish, Rev. Charles Reynolds as regiment chaplain. The City of Lawrence was only 4 years old then this church was founded in the spring of 1858.

This image is one of the stained glass windows in the foyer on the south-east entrance to the main sanctuary.
